FAST channels

Turn your library into free 24/7 TV channels.

Loopse is a FAST channel platform. Build free, ad-supported streaming TV channels from the videos you already own, run them in your own apps, and send them to TV platforms that sell the ads and share the revenue.

Schedule a channel

Build a channel from looping programme lists, time blocks or an existing 24/7 feed. Or import channels from M3U and guides from XMLTV.

Partner-ready feeds

Each channel gets a clean nonstop stream, a programme guide and a show list for each partner, on private links.

SCTE-35 ad breaks

Breaks are marked in the stream, so the platform knows exactly where to put its ads.

Live TV in your own apps

The same channels play on your website and apps, with a guide grid, channel up and down and number keys.

Your own ad breaks

In your apps, put breaks anywhere in a programme list, with ad tags and break frequency set per channel.

Channel analytics

Viewers, watch hours, peak viewers and ad impressions per channel, with stats for each programme.

What is a FAST channel?

FAST stands for free ad-supported streaming TV. It works like a cable channel delivered over the internet: a nonstop schedule, a programme guide and ad breaks. Viewers don't pay. Advertisers do.

FAST services such as Samsung TV Plus, Pluto TV and The Roku Channel carry channels from content owners. Viewers find them while flipping through channels, often without searching for anything. For a company with a library of films, episodes, music videos or sports, that is a new audience and a new revenue line from content that is already paid for.

How to launch a FAST channel with Loopse

  1. Talk to us. Tell us about your library and the channels you have in mind. We give you a quote.
  2. We set up your company. Your studio, your domain and the Live TV section are switched on.
  3. Upload and build your channels. Add your videos, then arrange them into programme lists or time blocks. Mark where the ad breaks go. Import an existing channel line-up from M3U and XMLTV if you have one.
  4. Launch. Publish the channels on your own website and apps. Then apply to each FAST service you want to be on and paste the partner links from your studio.

Free ad-supported streaming TV, sent to partners

For every 24/7 channel, Loopse makes a feed in the shape TV platforms ask for:

  • a clean nonstop stream, with a "be right back" slate during off-air time;
  • a programme guide and a show list for each partner;
  • ad breaks marked with SCTE-35, so the partner fills them with its own ads;
  • private links per partner, which you can turn off at any time.

When you unpublish a channel on your own site, its partner feeds pause too, and the studio shows that they are paused. Programmes that reach their end date leave the channel and the partner feeds straight away.

How you earn from FAST channels

There are two ways, and you can use both.

  • On partner platforms, the platform sells the ads in your breaks and shares the ad revenue with you under your agreement with them.
  • In your own apps and website, you run your own ad tags. Viewers get a pre-roll when they tune in, and breaks play where you placed them. You can also keep chosen programmes for subscribers while the channel plays on for everyone else. If stitched ads are switched on for your company, ads are put into the stream on our servers, so ad blockers can't strip them out.

Loopse takes no cut of your ad revenue, subscriptions or sales.

Questions

How do I start a FAST channel?

You need content you have the rights to stream, a 24/7 schedule, a feed with marked ad breaks and a programme guide, and an agreement with each FAST service. Loopse handles the schedule, the feed and the guide. You apply to each service yourself, as the content owner.

Will Samsung TV Plus, Pluto TV or The Roku Channel accept my channel?

That is up to each platform. Each one reviews channels and has its own content and technical requirements. Loopse gives you a feed in the format they ask for, but we can't promise a platform will carry your channel.

How much does a FAST channel platform cost?

It depends on how many channels you run and how much is streamed to partners. Every company gets a tailored quote, so talk to us. Loopse takes no cut of your ad revenue.

Can I use live feeds as well as recorded videos?

Yes. A channel can mix looping programme lists of your videos with outside feeds in HLS, RTMP, RTSP or SRT.

Do my channels also appear in my own apps?

Yes. Your channels show in the Live TV section of your website and apps, with a programme guide and channel up and down, on phones and TVs.

What about captions?

Captions are carried as WebVTT, and you can create them automatically with AI. Some FAST services ask for other caption formats, so check each platform's requirements before you apply.
